A Snowman Twinkie is a perfect Winter treat the kids will love.
When I was little I loved building snowmen, especially when the snow was super wet and packable. I can remember coming home from school, getting my snow stuff on and heading outside. We had a neighborhood full of kids so there were multiple snowball fights, snow forts and snowmen. The hardest part was searching through our houses for carrots, buttons and scarfs and trying to find sticks outside for the arms in knee deep snow.
Now a days they make snowman building super easy by selling these Snowman Building Kits, it even comes with a pipe. Couldn't get any cooler than that. I can't decide whether I wish they sold these when I was little or whether I liked finding my own stuff.
If you're not a snowman building type person or just don't like the cold weather, you can build our Snowman Twinkie Treats instead.
How to make our Snowman Twinkie Treats:
Ingredients:
- Twinkies
- Wilton white candy melts
- orange frosting
- brown frosting
- Starbursts
- candy balls
You will also need:
- parchment paper
- Wilton slotted decorating spoon

- This slotted chocolate dipping spoon is one of my favorite tools, it makes dipping anything is chocolate super easy. Just heat 2 cups of your chocolate melts on 50% power for 3-4 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds until melted.
- Dunk your Twinkies, carefully remove with your spoon and set onto a piece of parchment paper.
- Roll out your Starbursts onto your parchment paper and cut into a long rectangle that resembles a scarf.
- Place 3 candy balls vertically onto the bottom half of your chocolate covered Twinkies.
- Place one Starburst scarf around the backside of your Twinkies and wrap each side around the front of the Twinkie.
- Fill a decorating bag with orange frosting and use to draw a triangle carrot shape nose above the scarf in the center of the top of the Twinkie.
- Fill another decorating bag with chocolate frosting and use to draw on two eyes and about five dots in the shape of a smile under the carrot nose.
- Use that same decorating bad to draw one stick arm on each side of the Snowman Twinkie Treats and let your snowman harden for about 30 minutes.
