This Perler Bead Trolls Craft can be customized to your favorite troll, making it fun for the whole family.
I won't give away any movie details but Trolls is definitely a must see for the family. I'm sure many of you remember having these little toy trolls with crazy hair and gems for belly buttons. It brings back memories and brings them to life. I'm already hoping for a sequel.
If you never had toy trolls as a kid, but still loved the movie, you'll love this Perler Bead Troll Craft. Everything you need for this craft is listed below:
- A big tub of colorful Perler Beads
- Square pegboard with ironing paper
- Tweezers (optional)
- Iron/Ironing board
Whenever I make crafts with Perler Beads I like to start from the bottom of my pegboard and work my way up. You'll want to count out 7 tan beads and use your tweezers to place them along the bottom middle of your pegboard and then use this above picture above as a template to look at while you craft. Next you can count out your brown, black, and green beads, count the columns and use your tweezers to add the features to your face (this will make your beads start to look like a troll). Next you can fill in the face with your tan beads.
Then to finish your troll you can make the crazy hair with any color(s) you choose. You don't need to follow a pattern for the hair, just make it look colorful and crazy. Then carefully place a piece of ironing paper over the top and iron on a dry setting, pressing hard, and ironing evenly for about 30 seconds. Let your troll cool down for a minute before peeling your ironing paper off the pegboard (caution this will be hot and the beads should all stick to the ironing paper).
You can always add a magnet or a key chain to your troll or glue him to the front of a card for a Birthday. Let us know what you choose to do with him in the comment section below.
