Stop pulling your hair out and start a simple mealtime with Red Baron® pizza.
As a working mom with 2 kids, I'm beat by the time Friday night comes. It seems like when I'm ready to sit down and kick up my feet, my kids are bouncing off the walls because it's the weekend! Since September has arrived and school has started, my kids are excited to go to high school football games. This event is often at the bottom of my to-do list. Once Friday evening arrives, I remove my shoes and figure out what to make for dinner, the idea of leaving the house to go to a game is the last thing I want to do.
On these crazy Friday nights where I promise my kids that if they are good all week we will go to a game, I reach for Red Baron® frozen pizza. Just saying the word "pizza" gets my kids to cheer, and the Baroness is my true #WingMama in this mealtime situation.
Since my kids are picky eaters, and I prefer a bit more variety and flavor, I grab 2 Red Baron® Pizzas from Target and keep them in the freezer for just these nights. My kids eat a Red Baron® Classic Crust Cheese Pizza, while my husband and I prefer Red Baron® Classic Crust Special Deluxe Pizza with a crust that's not too thick, not too thin, and toppings including mushrooms, pepperoni, sausage, onions, olives and peppers.
Grabbing 2 different flavor pizzas ensures everyone gets something they love and the entire family agrees on mealtime with Red Baron® pizza.
While the pizza is delicious, my second favorite thing about Red Baron® is the Baroness. She is the ultimate role model. I look up to her. She's covered with patches and falls into every. Single. Mom. Category. She wears patches on her bomber jacket as her badges of honor, representing her accomplishments. Of her 43 patches, here's the ones I've earned myself:
- Whatever Works: This is probably the patch most moms can relate to. I know I can. Whatever works for dinner, I've done it. If my son wants to wear his sister's Hello Kitty shirt before we leave, I roll with it. Most recently, my daughter started wearing a long red Halloween wig whenever we go out. If it gets us out the door, it's fine with me.
- Where's My Phone: This patch has been earned over and over by myself. Yes, I lost my phone, found it, and lost it again. It's usually in the same places, on top of the dryer, in my purse, or near the coffee pot. But sometimes I have to message friends on Facebook and ask them to call me so I can find my phone.
- One More Show: This patch is really coming in handy as of late. While my husband works and then builds a race car, I'm left to feeling a bit like a single parent, so after a full day of parenting, shuffling kids around, getting dinner on the table and handling bath time, I'm ready for my own show.
Now I've earned a lot more of her patches, but these are my top 3. The Baroness is truly my #WingMama, relating to the chaos in every parent's life and laughing with me at our course of events. The Baroness has taught me to be a better friend to my mom friends. Setting aside my shame I can relate to their "horror" stories of parenting, relating to their feelings of defeat and despair and most of all, rolling with whatever works on a daily basis.
