Why pay so much at a restaurant for something so easy to make at home? This chicken wings recipe is super easy and really delicious, but the bonus is that they happen to be keto-friendly if you are following a low-carb diet!
Are These Keto Buffalo Wings?
This wings recipe is keto as the coating uses almond flour rather than traditional flour. Hot sauce is almost always naturally keto-friendly, so the one listed in the recipe below is appropriate for the keto diet.
Can I Use Other Sauces on My Wings?
If you don't care for buffalo or spicy wings, it doesn't have to necessarily be buffalo flavored. The printable recipe includes using a keto buffalo sauce, but you can definitely use any keto sauce on the wings.
If you aren't following a keto diet, feel free to use buffalo, garlic butter, ranch, or even just a seasoning blend on your wings that you prefer.
For those who are not worried about the carbs in their wings, you can use any barbecue or dipping sauce you prefer. A nice smoky barbecue or honey barbecue sauce is always great with any wings recipe.

How to Make Keto Chicken Wings
Heat frying oil in a large stockpot or deep fryer to 300ºF.
Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside. Then add paper towels or paper to a large platter and set it near the frying pan for draining the chicken wings.
Preheat the oven to 400ºF.
While the oil is heating, season the chicken wings with salt and pepper, then dredge through almond flour.
Place the chicken wings in small batches, into the hot oil, and cook for 12-15 minutes. Time depends upon the size of the wings and doneness you prefer. Don't overcrowd the frying oil, cook in batches.
Once the wings are cooked to your preference, drain them on a paper towel-lined plate. Allow the wings to drain as you continue cooking until all wings are done.
In a large bowl, combine the melted butter and hot sauce, then dip or toss the cooked wings into the sauce until coated on all sides.
Place the wings on the baking sheet in a single layer, then put into the oven for another 2-3 minutes on broil to crisp and add color.
Remove from the oven, allow to cool for 5 minutes, and serve with your favorite dressing and veggies.
