This adorable Ice Cream Paint Chip craft is fun and easy to make!
For us here at Craft Create Cook, summer is all about fun! Whether it's doing crafts with the kids, spending a day at the beach, or camping on the weekends, we love having fun. My kids love crafts and what is more fun that creating a fun summer 'treat'? Not one you can eat, but out of paint chips!
My girls always thought you had to pay for paint chips, which totally makes sense. I mean, we always tell our kids that you can't take anything out of a store without paying for it first. This past spring, I took the girls to Home Depot and needed some paint chips because we recently decided to re-paint our living room and kitchen. The girls asked me why I wasn't paying for them. It never occurred to me, to tell them that paint chips are free. They were A-mazed. Like, the heavens were opening up for them, A-mazed. They immediately began choosing their favorite colors and I ushered them out of the store before they grabbed the whole rack. But seriously, they are FREE and so great for crafts!
We got the paint chips home and we put some of them to good use. This fun paint chip ice cream cone is so easy and just perfect for summer. Even though you can't eat it, it's still fun to make! All you need is a 2" round paper punch, a pair of scissors and a glue stick.
Materials Needed:
- variety of paint chips in fun ice cream colors, including brown for the ice cream cone
- 2" round paper punch
- scissors
- glue stick
Directions:
- Use the 2" round paper punch to cut multiple paint chip circles from the paint chips.
- Next, use the scissors to cut the brown paint chips into a triangle that resembles an ice cream cone.
