Made from an old pallet and simple wood cutouts, this DIY Halloween Decor will be perfect with your seasonal decorations.
It's been voiced that everyone here at CraftCreateCook loves Halloween. Actually we love most all Holidays, but Halloween is one of our favorites. I am always searching for unique home Halloween decor that doesn't have messy glitter on it. Although I love the look of glitter, I don't like the mess, so anything I can purchase or make without glitter makes me happy.
This fun ombre cat Halloween decor is classy and will work well in almost anyone's home. And don't be worried if you cannot find a pallet board to work for you. You can always grab a wood board at the craft store or use another scrap piece you have.
If you've never cut pallets before, I have this easy tutorial on how to cut pallets that I am certain you will be able to tackle!
Grab a few materials and let's get started:
- pallet board - 5.5" x 12"
- 3 wood cat cutouts (I grabbed mine at Hobby Lobby)
- black acrylic paint
- white acrylic paint
- paint brush
- hot glue
The directions are simple!
- Paint 1 cat black with black acrylic paint.
- Paint 1 cat medium grey by adding black paint to white.
- Paint 1 cat light grey by adding a small dollop of black to white paint.
- Let paint dry completely.
- Use hot glue to glue the cats to the board
You can attach your cats to the board in a vertical or horizontal layout. Either look great and depending on your display space you may want to change the layout.

This is so cute and such an easy project!! I might be making a trip to the craft store this weekend, counting down the days until September 1st when I’m “allowed” to decorate for Halloween 🤣
