Mickey Mouse Inspired Magnet

Our Mickey Mouse Inspired Magnet is a great craft to get you excited about Disney.

We have a fun trip planned for Disney, which includes the Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney's Hollywood Studios. I know we won't get everything in but my son and I have never been so we are pretty excited.

Leading up to our Disney trip, I am trying to find shirts (I think that's a necessity right?), research the top 10 things to see/ride/eat in Disney World, and pack my bag just right (suggestions taken in the comments section please).

Another thing that is getting me excited is making Disney crafts, like our Mikey Mouse Inspired Magnet. It's super easy and fun to make and you can keep it on your fridge with a countdown to Disney list. That way your kids can write the countdown every morning and stick the magnet right on top. They're excited, your excited and you have a fun Mickey Mouse Inspired Magnet to look at each day.

Materials:

• black, yellow and red Perler Beads
• 5x5" square pegboard
• Perler Bead tweezers
• Perler Bead ironing paper
• iron
• ¾" round magnets
• E6000 glue

1. Start toward to bottom center of your pegboard and place your beads as follows with your tweezers:

• 4-red
• 8-red
• 10-red
• 10-red
• 12-red
• 12-red
• 12-red

2. Now remove 2 sets of 4 red beads and replace the yellow beads as shown.

3. Continue with placing your beads in rows from the bottom up.

• 12-black
• 12-black
• 10-black
• 14-black
• 16-black
• 18-black

4. Leave a space of 4 pegs in between the ears.

• 7-black on each side
• 7-black on each side
• 5-black on each side
• 3-black on each side

5. Carefully place a piece of ironing paper on top of your Mickey Mouse and iron (no water or steam) until the beads fuse together 60 or so seconds).

6. Carefully peel your ironing paper off and the beads will stick to the paper. Let cool.

7. Peel Minnie Mouse off the paper and apply a magnet with a large dab of E6000 glue.

8. Let dry overnight.
