I want to share with you my Classroom Cleaning Kit, the perfect gift for teachers!
As summer winds down, I have already started to prepare for back-to-school. I grab a few school supplies here and there when I head to the store and one item I never forget are cleaning supplies for the classroom.
As a classroom volunteer, I can assure you one of the dirtiest places is in an elementary school classroom. A handful of supplies goes a long way for a classroom cleaning kit to give to the teacher.
Kids are not the best at washing their hands, so providing them with alternate options such as hand wipes, makes cleaning hands "fun" in the eye of a student. I love that hand wipes can be tossed into a playground bag or located at various places around the classroom to encourage healthy habits.
How to Make a Classroom Cleaning Kit
Materials:
- Wet Ones® Hand Wipes (canister and travel pack)
- Disinfecting Spray
- Hand Soap
- 2 Boxes of Tissue
- Ruler Box
- 3-5 Plastic Shopping Bags
- Shredded Paper Basket Filler
- Paper Tag and Colorful Markers
Directions:
- Place tissue boxes into the ruler box.
- Add disinfecting spray.
- Crumple up plastic shopping bags and tuck them into the front of the ruler box. The bags will give your products height.
- Place hand wipes, hand sanitizer and hand soap on top of the bags.
- Tuck in shredded paper basket filler and add a gift tag. Give to your child's classroom!
Are you looking for additional fun back-to-school gifts for teachers? Try these!
- Box Top Collection Jar to place in the classroom for kids to save their box tops.
- Back to School Teacher Classroom Supply Basket is a great way to stock the classroom.

This is a great idea! #KillTheGerms

I think it should include Mr. Clean magic erasers and whiteboard cleaner. It's a great idea though.

Those are great ideas! I know each classroom/grade will have different needs so you can customize this cleaning kit and fill it with almost anything!

I'm a mommy on a budget with 2 of 4 is school. But I made something similar to this. I got cute small baskets put in some Puffs, cleaning wipes, and, hand sanitizer. One for each daughters teacher. But what's really crazy is I made them this afternoon before I even seen this ad on Facebook

Awesome! Great minds think alike!

Hand sanitizer and hand lotion would be good to add for the teacher to keep on her desk.

Yeah I bought large pump of hand sanitizer tissues and Clorox cleaning wipes

Scrubbing bubbles - or the like - for the surfaces... sit and marinate in that germs.
For music teachers - instead of a cute basket - a bucket. Yes! A Bucket! Then they can clean the mallets, boomwhakers, recorders, and all the other things the kids touch to create music.

That's a good idea!

I would also put in hand sanitizer. When we restroom, it takes a long time to wash hands so we just do hand sanitizer, also when one sneezes or coughs.
Kari
Those are great ideas! And kids like to procrastinate while washing hands.

Some sort of electrics wiped. So many schools have tablets, ipads, keyboards, etc and these get really gross.
Kari
I love that idea! Those little screen cloths would work great on tablets!
