It takes only 4 ingredients to make this fun and easy after school snack for kids.
This is how the after school conversation goes with my daughter when she gets off the bus:
Me: Hello! How was your day?
Her: Good. I'm hungry.
Every day, nothing changes. She's always starving when she gets off of the bus. But I cannot blame her. I was, too, when I was a kid. She drops her gear by the door and we head to wash hands and into the kitchen to make one of our favorites: RITZ Crackers + Peter Pan® Creamy Peanut Butter + Bananas & Chocolate Chips!
My weekly shopping trips to Walmart always include several of the same staples, and RITZ Crackers and Peter Pan® Creamy Peanut Butter is usually on the list. If you head to Walmart the weekend of 4/15, you'll find free samples and coupons for RITZ Crackers, a chance to WIN a Walmart gift card or free box of RITZ crackers! Once you grab these great products, you can head home to spin the wheel and find more RITZpiration recipe ideas here.
One of my favorite things about this easy after school snack is that my kids can make it. Once I grab all of the ingredients out of the cupboard, both my 7 and 4 year old can handle using a knife to spread the smooth and delicious Peter Pan® Creamy Peanut Butter, slice bananas and assemble. That's their favorite part, the assembly, because they get to sprinkle on the chocolate chips. For the sandwich option, I usually spread the peanut butter and assemble and let them sprinkle or dunk the chocolate chips onto the sides. I can also whip up these sandwiches, toss them into a baggie and we can easily eat them on-the-go any day of the week. Softball season is right around the corners, so you can count on me having a few baggies of these in the car with me while running to and from practice and games.
