These Caramel Macchiato Cupcakes are delicious and perfect with a cup of coffee!
Fall is here to stay and with that busy mornings keep me running. When my mornings are crazy I turn to coffee and International Delight® creamers. My favorite? International Delight® French Vanilla, International Delight® Caramel Macchiato and International Delight® Cold Stone Creamery™ Sweet Cream, plus there are more great International Delight® flavors to enjoy!
These coffee creamers help get me through busy mornings and make my coffee a lot more enjoyable! Plus, I love that you can find them at Walmart in the refrigerated dairy section and I can have a coffeehouse style beverage without paying the coffeehouse price.
The new half gallon containers are the perfect size. I often run out of creamer when I buy the smaller bottles and the International Delight® is a lot easier to hold and pour in the new bottle.
Because I enjoy International Delight® Caramel Macchiato creamer as much as I do, I thought it would be fun to add it to a recipe I could enjoy while drinking my cup of coffee. If you love caramel as much as I do I think you will really like these Caramel Macchiato cupcakes! My husband loves anything with caramel and he was the first to sample the cupcakes and loved them.
My kiddos thought the caramel topping was honey (I guess it does look a little bit like honey) and decided to pass but I gave them a try while enjoying a hot cup of coffee with International Delight® French Vanilla creamer and wow, I was not disappointed.
These delicious cupcakes don't take long to make, and the International Delight® Caramel Macchiato creamer really makes them pop!
These Caramel Macchiato Cupcakes are delicious and perfect with a cup of coffee! Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a cupcake tin with cupcake liners. Combine the cake mix, 1 C. International Delight® Caramel Macchiato creamer, vegetable oil and egg. Scoop the cupcake batter into the cupcake wells filling about ยพ full. Take 1 teaspoon of the caramel dip and swirl into each individual cupcake (see photos). Bake 18-20 minutes. Let cool completely prior to frosting. To make the caramel frosting, combine the softened butter, powdered sugar and ยผ cup of International Delight® Caramel Macchiato creamer in a medium size bowl. Use a hand mixer to blend the frosting together. Generously frost each cupcake and set aside. Scoop the caramel dip into a microwaveable safe dish and microwave for about 15 seconds. Drizzle the caramel dip over the top of the cupcakes. Enjoy!Caramel Macchiato Cupcakes
